I've painstakingly recreated yesterday's swatch of Flashback's Conrad Hart in HD as a comparison of how Conrad may have looked if the game was created in recent years, with fewer hardware limitations.
Here's a scene from the first level of the the Amiga classic, Flashback, starring Conrad Hart.
It was a masterpiece of gaming when in released in 1992, and is still very highly regarded now. Its graphics were among the best at the time, and this 14 character sprite proves that you don't need 1000s of polygons to create a a strong, recognisable character.
